Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 18, 2025
Mountain Digital LLC (“Mountain Digital”, “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at www.themtndigital.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the steps we take to protect it. This Policy is written for visitors from the United States.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site.
1. Key summary

- We collect only aggregated / non-identifying analytics (via Google Analytics / GA4) to understand Site performance.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We have configured analytics with privacy-protective defaults (no advertising personalization, no Google Signals, short retention). You can opt out if you want (instructions below).
2. Contact & controller information
Mountain Digital LLC (controller)

Jefferson, New Jersey 07849
Phone: (201) 874-8286
For privacy questions or to submit a data request, contact us at the address or phone number above (Attn: Privacy).
3. What information we collect
3.1. Analytics data (what we actually collect)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect standard, aggregated analytics data. That includes:
- Page views and pages visited;
- Session duration and basic engagement metrics;
- General geographic region (city/region level, not exact street address);
- Device type, operating system, and browser;
- Referral source (how visitors found the Site, e.g., search engine or link).
This analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals. rootandbranchgroup.com
3.2. No accounts / no user posts / no payments
The Site does not provide member accounts, does not accept user posts or comments, and does not process payments. We do not collect or store names, email addresses, billing details, or login credentials via the Site.
3.3. Voluntary contact
If you contact us by phone or mail (using the contact details above) and voluntarily provide personal information (for example, to inquire about services), we will use that information only to respond to your inquiry and to provide services if you request them. Such information is handled as described below under “How we use information.”
4. Cookies and tracking — our approach (no tracking beyond analytics)
You said “no cookies.” We designed this Site to be minimal and privacy-forward:
- We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels for ad networks, or any third-party trackers for profiling or ad targeting.
- We do use Google Analytics (GA4). GA4 commonly uses first-party cookies to measure sessions and user activity; however GA4 provides cookieless measurement modes and consent mode features and can be configured to minimize identifiable data. We have configured our analytics to limit personal data collection (see the configuration details below). rootandbranchgroup.com+1
Important technical note (transparency): while we operate the Site with a minimal footprint and do not deploy ad trackers, GA4 uses browser identifiers and first-party cookies for session measurement in many setups. GA4 also supports cookieless measurement and modeling when cookies are restricted; we rely on GA4’s privacy-friendly options so the Site acts like a “no cookie / minimal tracking” site to the extent feasible. If you require a strict no-cookie guarantee, we can remove GA4 entirely or move analytics to a server-side, fully cookieless solution. (Technically, GA4 can function with reduced reliance on cookies using consent mode and modeling.) MeasureSchool+1
5. How we configure Google Analytics (privacy-forward defaults we use)
To limit data collection and protect visitor privacy, our GA4 configuration follows these practices:
- No Google Signals / no demographic/imported signals. We do not enable Google Signals (so cross-device and personalized ad features are disabled).
- Advertising personalization off. Ads personalization and remarketing features are turned off for the property. (That prevents analytics data from being used for ad targeting). Google for Developers
- IP handling / anonymization. GA4 does not retain or expose full IP addresses in reports the way older systems did; IPs are handled in a privacy-reducing fashion by default. Stack Overflow
- Short retention window. We retain event-level analytics data for a short period (by default we keep it for 2 months) and do not retain user-level identifiers longer than necessary. You can request deletion of any personal info we hold (see section on rights). (GA4 allows 2-month or 14-month retention choices; we choose the shorter, privacy-preserving setting.) Analytics Mania
- No User-ID / no login tracking. We do not set any user-IDs or login identifiers (because the Site doesn’t offer accounts).
- Server/Consent technology available. If required for stricter compliance we can implement server-side tagging or consent mode to further reduce client-side cookies and keep only modeled/aggregated analytics. Google for Developers+1
6. Purposes for which we use information
We use analytics information only to:
- Monitor Site performance and availability;
- Improve Site structure, content, and user experience;
- Troubleshoot technical issues and test responsive designs;
- Generate anonymous, aggregated reports about usage.
We do not use analytics data to profile, target ads, or sell user data.
7. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell or rent your information. We share analytics data only with:
- Google LLC (Google Analytics) as an analytics processor;
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN, backups) for Site operation;
- Law enforcement or to comply with legal process when required.
Third parties may process analytics or hosting data outside the United States. Our primary hosting and analytics processing are configured to operate in the U.S., though cloud/CDN providers may transfer or cache data in other locations as part of normal operations.
For more on Google Analytics’ privacy tools and opt-out options, see Google’s documentation. Google Help+1
8. Data retention & deletion
- Analytics: We retain raw event/user-level analytics for 2 months (short, privacy-preserving). Aggregate reports are kept in rolled-up form as long as useful to the business (no personal identifiers). GA4 supports retention settings up to 14 months; our default is the shorter setting. Analytics Mania
- Contact inquiries: If you voluntarily contact us with personal information (phone/email) we will retain that contact info only as long as necessary to respond and to meet any legal/business recordkeeping requirements.
- Deletion requests: To request deletion of personal information we may hold because you provided it voluntarily, contact us (see section 13). We will verify your request and act within applicable legal timeframes.
9. Rights for California and other state residents
You said your users are across the United States. U.S. states have different privacy laws; California’s CCPA/CPRA is the most developed. In short:
- California residents have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information. Mountain Digital does not sell personal information. You may exercise rights by contacting us; we will respond and verify requests as required by law (California’s CCPA / CPRA process typically allows up to 45 days for initial response). California DOJ
- Other state laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, etc.) may provide similar rights. Because we collect only limited aggregate analytics and no personal contact details via the Site, most individual rights will not apply in practice. Still, we will respond to legitimate requests from residents of those states. For an overview of state privacy laws see the IAPP summary. IAPP
How to submit a request: Contact Mountain Digital by phone or at the address above (Attn: Privacy). Please provide the information needed to verify your identity; we will follow applicable law when processing requests.
10. Opt-out and control options
If you want to block analytics for your browser or device:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on from Google (official page). This prevents data from being sent to Google Analytics from your browser. tools.google.com
- Use browser privacy settings or extensions (ad-blockers / uBlock / Brave) to block scripts.
- Contact us if you want us to remove analytics entirely for visits from a specific IP address or to explore more restrictive, server-side analytics options.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information we process. No service can guarantee 100% security; if we learn of a security incident involving personal data we control, we will take steps required by law and inform affected individuals when appropriate.
12. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that such information has been collected in error, we will delete it.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy occasionally. We will post the new effective date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
14. Contact information & how to submit requests

Phone: (201) 874-8286
If you need a specific format (mail or phone) for a request because of statutory verification procedures, we will follow the law and respond as required.
15. Do-Not-Track (DNT)
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. At present, the Site does not automatically respond to DNT browser signals. Instead we provide concrete opt-out mechanisms described above (Google’s opt-out add-on, browser extensions, or by contacting us).
16. International transfers
If analytics or hosting services process data outside the U.S., we take commercially reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections (processor agreements, standard contractual measures where available). If you are located outside the United States and use the Site, please be aware that data may be processed in the U.S.
